		The villages of Aramunt, Claverol, Hortoneda (or Ortoneda) and Toralla-Serradell, merged in 1.969 to be part of the Municipality of the "Pallars Jussà". So, in this way 12 villages gave way to one Municipality. In the year 1,995 the denomination of Pallars Jussà was changed by the present one Conca de Dalt to avoid future confusions with this name,the one that the region (County) has itself.

The Municipality of La Conca de Dalt, is located right in the middle of the pre-Pyrenean area, and it is one of the most extensive of the province (165,8 Km2). It is very accessible throughout La Pobla de Segur, by means of a local road that crosses the river Noguera Pallaresa. Aramunt, Claverol, Hortoneda, Pessonada, Pont de Claverol, Sossís and Sant Martí de Canals are situated in the right side of the reservoir , the so-called Sant Antoni. The rest of the villages are in the left side and are also very accessible thanks to small roads which join the road between La Pobla and Senterada.There are also two small villages which are already uninhabited: Aramunt Vell and Herba-sabina.

The economy of the region is based basically of cattle ranches (ovine, pig and bovine) and agriculture (crop -cereals-, almonds and olives). Lately has spectacularly grown the tourism,which coexists and competes with the traditional sectors. The number of inhabitants is at the moment 448, which is a small figure if it is compared with the 373 houses that exist in this area. The Municipality of La Conca de Dalt, is strategically located and properly prepared to receive tourism since it has the proper infrastructures.

   The reservoir of Sant Antoni, suitable for fishing and practising nautical sports.
   The hunting reserve in Boumort. It is possible to contemplate a varied protected fauna.
   The speleology has a special attractiveness in the caves of Serradell. (skilled and experts)
   Uninhabited Medieval nucleus of Aramunt Vell.(It allows to look back in the time)
   " El Museu dels Raiers ". A wide vision of the old trade of wood transport.
   Opened Trial Tour. Every year are organized the championships of Spain and Catalonia.
