ESTERRI DE CARDÓS

Esterri de Cardós is located in the Valley of Cardós and belongs to the region of the Pyrenean area Pallars Sobirŕ.It depends on the Local Court of Tremp. It has 96 inhabitants according to the last census, and an area of 15,5 Kms2. Also,it is 1,212 Mts. high.
In addition to Esterri de Cardós, the villages of Benante, Arrós and Ginestarre compose the municipality. Its economic activity is basically cattle deal. Also, can be enjoyed a good Nordic Sky Resort called " Pla de Negua ".
The Churches of Santa Maria de Ginestarre and San Pedro and San Pablo in Esterri de Cardós are of historical and artistic interest. It is reached easily from Llavorsí ,where joints the road C -13 coming from Sort and La Pobla de Segur. vThe distance from Barcelona is aprox. about 275 Kms.
