GAVET DE LA CONCA

    The municipality of Gavet de laConca, is constituted by the villages: Sant Salvador de Toló (66), Aransís (52), Gavet de la Conca (51), Fontsagrada (41), Sant Miquel de la Vall (40), Sant Martí de Barcedana (29), Sant Serni (28), Sant Cristófol de la Vall (21), Perolet (3), Merea (2), Toló (2) and Mata Solana (0). (in brackets the number of inhabitants)
The administrative Council of these villages is in Gavet de la Conca, with an altitude of 421 Mts . The municipal land has a total surface of 90´8 Kms 2, and the totality of inhabitants is 335. It belongs to the region of the Pallars Jussà and depends on the Judicial district (or Local Court) of Tremp.

   This is an area basically dedicated to the agriculture, although a few years ago was created in Gavet an intensive fishing preserve area, to fishing trouts, and has an excellent acceptance because of its quantity and as well as its fishing permission and almost none closed seasons. 
Landscapes that surround all these villages have a supreme category thanks to its vegetation and the Kindness of its people makes it grow 10 times in season time. This area is accessible by small but asphalted roads.
