VILAMITJANA

Vilamitjana is situated really near from Tremp, just about 4 km. and in a promontory of about 450 Mts. of altitude. Its church, Iglesia de Santa Mª , is of gothic style and was constructed in the XII century. Formerly, in the high part of the village, there was a castle, disapeared although today. At the present time it is an added nucleus of Tremp, and its economy turns around agriculture and cattle raising. It is a dynamic village and mostly of what’s going on is thanks to this small distance to Tremp and the connecting road. |
In spite of its dependency on Tremp, the Capital of El pallars Jussà, Vilamitjana is for itself a very important village and we thought this is important to remark, more because of the strategical importance..
